SPECIALTY COFFEE AND BEEKEEPING PROJECTS APPROVED
Our dear friends from La Alianza, members of the parishes of Dunningen, Seedorf, and Lackendorf, Germany, approved the second phase of the Specialty Coffee and Beekeeping projects we have been carrying out in the Mashuyacu River Valley since last year (see the "Projects" tab). Through this project, we seek to train our members as specialty farmers, because that is the only way to produce specialty coffees. For their part, many schoolchildren in this valley, boys, girls, and teenagers, are now very accomplished beekeepers after training last year, not only in hive management and the secrets of high-quality honey production, but also in the rescue of a native bee species that is in danger of extinction.
